Enforcement 1/22: Oil lamps – enforcement of the safety requirements

The Swedish Chemicals Agency has for several years checked oil lamps because every year there are accidents where children have drunk lamp oil or sucked at the wick of oil lamps and thereby ingested lamp oil. Lamp oil has very low viscosity and can therefore easily get into the lungs where it may cause life-threatening injuries.

Enforcement 2/22: Enforcement of plant protection products

The Swedish Chemicals Agency is the authority responsible for enforcing that companies that manufacture or import plant protection products into Sweden comply with current legislation. In this report, we compile our control of plant protection products on the Swedish market. This report contains the analysis results from inspections carried out in 2021.

Enforcement 4/22: Enforcement of pesticides 2021

In 2021, the Swedish Chemicals Agency carried out a national joint project together with inspectors from 78 of Sweden's 290 municipalities. The project's focus was on the control of biocidal products and plant protection products in the trade.

Enforcement 6/22: Toys 2021

This report describes an enforcement project on chemical risks with toys and it is one of the efforts made in the work to ensure that goods are non-toxic from the beginning. The focus of the project has been to control toys sold via e-commerce, both through so-called marketplaces that mediate goods directly from companies outside the EU and toys sold directly by European companies.

Enforcement 7/22: Plan for enforcement guidance activities 2022-2024

In order to contribute to an operational enforcement of chemicals legislation that is legally secure, equal and effective at both local and regional level the Swedish Chemicals Agency presents a plan for enforcement guidance activities. The plan is on a three-year basis and is updated annually. The plan describes which guidance activities the Swedish Chemicals Agency will perform within the three-year period and is supposed to facilitate for municipalities, regional authorities and other central authorities in their planning.

Enforcement 8/22: Hazardous substances in electronic cigarettes and accessories

In this survey project, we have controlled 22 electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), including USB chargers and cables, from 11 companies.
