Rules applicable in Sweden only
Some rules within the sphere of responsibility of the Swedish Chemicals Agency are not based on EU harmonised regulations or directives, but are specifically Swedish rules. Other EU countries may not have any corresponding rules.
The specifically Swedish rules are:
- Rules on reporting to the Products Register
- Permits for very hazardous chemical products
- Certain Swedish restrictions and bans
- Swedish transitional rules on biocides
- National pesticide fees
There are also specifically Swedish rules on fees and sanction charges, public access to information rules and secrecy rules.
Voluntary agreements in Sweden
In some cases Swedish industrial organisations have agreed on voluntary commitments that go beyond regulatory requirements. If you are a manufacturer, importer or retailer of chemical products we recommend that you follow these voluntary agreements.
