International training and workshops
Part of the Swedish Chemicals Agency's support for other countries' construction of a national chemicals control consists of arranging different types of trainings.
International Training Programme for Capacity Development
The Swedish Chemicals Agency provides an international training programme for capacity development. The training is primarily aimed at employees at ministries and authorities in countries in need of developing their national chemical control. The purpose is for the participants to gain the necessary knowledge to be able to build up a functioning, preventive chemical control in their own country by developing relevant legislation, institutional capacity and systems for regulatory compliance. The programme is funded by Sida.

Seminars and workshops
The Swedish Chemicals Agency is also organising shorter seminars and workshops focusing on various aspects of preventive chemicals control, mainly targeting low and middle income countries.
UNITAR and the Swedish Chemicals Agency have worked together to develop a series of online courses to assist national officers and key stakeholders on Chemicals and Waste Management issues.
