During the period 2018–2022, the Swedish Chemicals Agency will organise and run the International Capacity Development Programme “Developing Strategies for National Chemicals Management”. As a part of this program, a number of policy seminars and thematic technical workshops will be arranged.
The international capacity development programme “Developing Strategies for National Chemicals Management” includes a number of policy seminars and thematic technical workshops.
During 2018 and 2019, three such seminars and workshops were held. One thematic technical workshop on risk assessment and risk management of highly hazardous pesticides was held in Tanzania in 2018. In Brazil in 2018, a policy seminar was held for Latin America and the Caribbean regarding the development of an international training programme for preventive chemicals control. In 2019, another policy seminar was held at the Swedish Chemicals Agency. This seminar was for senior managers in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia, and gave an overview of preventive chemicals control and how the ITP can be used as a supporting tool for national chemicals management.
A few more policy seminars and thematic technical workshops are planned, and more information will be announced on this website.
For other events and trainings that are not part of the international capacity development programme, see our information on upcoming events.
