Nordic Conference on PFAS Substitution – Inspiration, Experiences and Tools

Welcome to our PFAS conference, the 2nd of September 2024 in Stockholm. We will give you an overview of PFAS legislations, analytical methods, and useful tools for PFAS substitution. You will also hear experiences from PFAS testing of articles and mixtures and get inspired by companies who share their journey for PFAS substitution.

The aim of the conference is to strengthen you in your work to phase out PFAS and test articles and mixtures for complience.

Description

Target audience: Nordic enforcement agencies and Nordic companies that manufacture and/or sell articles and mixtures.
Time and place: 2 September 2024, 08.30-18.00 CET, World Trade Center, Stockholm. The conference offers on-site participation only.
Admission: Free of charge.

Meals: Breakfast sandwich, lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided.
Language: The conference is held in English.


The conference is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers and is part of the programme for the Swedish presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers 2024.

In addition to the conference, we will organise a one-day workshop for the Nordic enforcement authorities on the 3rd of September. At this workshop, the participants will have an additional opportunity to discuss and delve deeper into issues related to the enforcement of PFAS. The workshop will be held on-site in Stockholm. Lunch, coffee and snacks will be provided free of charge. The registration for this workshop is made in the same form as for the main conference.

Train and subway

Travel to Stockholms Centalstation/T-Centralen. Walk towards Centralstationen and take the escalators up to Klarabergsviadukten. The entrance of World Trade Center is straight across from Klarabergsgatan. The address is Klarabergsviadukten 70. Take the escalators and proceed to Section D where you find the conference reception.

Bus

The following bus lines stop right outside the entrance or at the bus terminal;

Arlanda Express

Stay at the back of the train. Take the ta elevator up to till Kungsbron from the platform and turn left, passing Comfort Hotel Xpress Stockholm Central and go left via the entrance at Kungsbron 1. Take the escalators and proceed to section D where you find the conference reception.

Car

The World Trade Center has a visitor garage with a small number of paid spaces. There is also space for motorbikes and bicycles.

If you go by car, write Terminalslingan 1. When you arrive, turn into the bus street, directly to the left you will find the entrance to the visitor garage. Call Reception to open the gate. note opening hours for entrance 08.00-17.00. Barely 100 meters in, you will find the paid visitor parking on the left (Places 92-120). Via the intercom you get further into the building: select "Conference facility D4" on the display and then "Call". Take the elevator up to level 4 and proceed to Section D and the Conference Reception.
