We have removed about 20 substances from the PRIO database because the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has updated the information for the substances.
In February 2026, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) updated the Candidate List in the REACH Regulation with two new substances or substance groups:
The PRIO database includes PFAS substances based on several different references. One of the references for PFAS is the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). An update of the PRIO reference PFAS, US EPA has resulted in an additional 3,000 PFAS substances in PRIO. The substances meet the OECD PFAS definition from 2021. In total, the PRIO database now includes 14,000 PFAS substances.
PRIO has been updated with the 2024 reported data from the product register.
