Phase-out substance: ozone-depleting
This is a substance with particularly hazardous properties. According to the Swedish environmental quality objective A Protective Ozone Layer
External link, opens in new window., "the ozone layer must be developed so that it provides long-term protection against harmful UV radiation." The use of most ozone depleting substances is prohibited in Sweden. The Montreal Protocol is an international treaty effective since 1987, which bans or restricts the use of ozone depleting substances.
