PRIO has been updated – 20 substances have been removed

We have removed about 20 substances from the PRIO database because the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has updated the information for the substances.

Substances that are potentially persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB), as well as potential endocrine disruptors (ED), are covered by PRIO’s criteria for priority risk-reduction substances. In PRIO’s example database, we generally include substances under investigation for any of these properties with the reference“PBT/vPvB assessments, ECHA” or “ED assessments, ECHA.”

ECHA has recently updated the ECHA CHEM External link, opens in new window. database and revised the status of a group of substances previously identified as potential PBT/vPvB or potential endocrine disruptors. We have therefore removed approximately 20 substances from the database. The deleted substances are listed in the changelog External link, opens in new window..
