PRIO has been updated with information about new substances on the candidate list in REACH.

In February 2026, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) updated the Candidate List in the REACH Regulation with two new substances or substance groups:

• n-Hexane, EC-number 203-777-6, CAS-number 110-54-3
• 4,4'-[2,2,2-Trifluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethylidene]diphenol (bisphenol AF) and its salts

These substances are included in PRIO with the reference REACH Regulation (EC No. 1907/2006), Candidate List.

n-Hexane is not associated to a criterion for phase-out substances in PRIO but is considered a phase-out substance as it is included in the Candidate List in accordance with Article 57(f) of the REACH Regulation. The inherent properties of n-hexane is therefore of comparable concern as to other phase-out substances in PRIO.
