Voluntary agreements

For some chemical products Swedish industrial organisations have agreed on voluntary commitments that go beyond regulatory requirements. If you are a manufacturer, importer or retailer of chemical products in Sweden we recommend that you follow these voluntary agreements.

Ethylene glycol in coolants

To prevent poisoning caused by ethylene glycol in coolants the Swedish industrial organisations BIL Sweden, Innovation and chemical industries in Sweden, IKEM and Kemisk Tekniska Företagen, KTF recommend its members that ethylene glycol based coolants supplied to the general public should contain a bittering agent and be fitted with a child-resistant fastening (even if it is not a regulatory requirement).
