Fluorinated greenhouse gases

The EU regulation about fluorinated greenhouse gases is repealed by a revised regulation, (EU) nr 2024/573, that applies from the March 11, 2024. The purpose of the regulation is to contribute to the achievement of EU´s greenhouse gas emission targets. The new regulation lays down some new rules, changed requirements and reduced total quantity of quota to be allocated compared to the previous regulation. Additional fluorinated greenhouse gases and more equipment than before will be covered by the rules. Some changes apply immediately, and others will apply gradually.
