The criteria are the same as the classification criteria in accordance with CLP for the stated properties.

Carcinogenic (C)

Substances that by inhalation, swallowing or skin contact may cause cancer or increase its incidence.

Substances in Category 1A and 1B are carcinogenic in humans.

Mutagenic (M)

Substances that by inhalation, swallowing or uptake through the skin can cause heritable genetic defects or increase their incidence. 

Substances in Category 1A and 1B are mutagenic in humans.

Toxic to Reproduction (R)

Substances that by inhalation, swallowing or uptake through the skin can cause, or increase the incidence of, non-heritable damage to the offspring or impaired male or female fertility. 

Substances in Category 1A and 1B impair fertility in humans and/or cause toxic effects to the embryo/foetus or offspring in humans.
