Regional Chemicals Management Forum

The Regional Chemicals Management Forum was a platform for regional collaboration on chemicals management on government level between Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand and Vietnam. The Swedish Chemicals Agency helped organizing the forums and contributed with expertise in different areas.

The Regional Chemicals Management Forum was one part of the regional programme "Towards a non-toxic South-East Asia" where the Swedish Chemicals Agency was actively supporting regional collaboration in the area of chemicals management. Representatives from government level met regularly to discuss current issues in the field of chemicals, informed each other about work in progress and listened to presentations by invited experts.

In addition to the regional forums, the Swedish Chemicals Agency also organized more specialized workshops and training in fields such as classification and labelling of chemicals, inspection methodology and legislation development.
