Conference: State of the Environmental Health in Europe – For a sustainable future
This conference is the third in a row that follow up on the EU Research Agenda for the Environment, Climate & Health, HERA. The aim of the conference is to highlight research needs for a sustainable future. This time with focus on the increased need for integration of research and management considering the triplet of global environmental crises.
The conference addresses the needs related to bridging research and management gaps between biodiversity loss, climate change and chemical pollution. We will also discuss the case of renewable energy technologies in a circular economy, providing an opportunity for some in-depth discussions on sustainable and circular material flows. In this case, we see an unprecedented opportunity for improved proactivity.
This conference is the third in a row organised under EU presidency countries and follows up on the EU Research Agenda for the Environment, Climate & Health 2021-2030 (HERA).
The conference is organised by Örebro University with the Platform for a Sustainable Future External link., the Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) and The Research Council FORMAS.
