Permit to a commercial agent

The Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) may, if acceptable from the standpoint of human health and the enviroment, allow a commercial agent to fulfil the report obligation to the chemical products register instead of the person responsible for importing.

Companies who do not need to submit a product report must nevertheless report the chemical activity to KemI´s products register (see activity report).

Companies must apply in writing to KemI for a permit to become a commercial agent. This has to be done no later than in November of the year during which acting in the capacity of commercial agent is to apply. Please contact the staff of the products register for further information.

A manufacturer who has assigned the responsibilty to report products to a commercial agent whose permit has ceased, must report the imported products himself.

The product report shall be submitted to KemI no later than 28 February of the calendar year after the year in which importing or manufacture started (see product report).

List of companies with permit as a commercial agent for 2009.
